Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy applies to paid subscription plans offered by porokca.si. Our aim is to provide a fair and transparent refund process that complies with EU consumer protection law, including Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights as implemented in Slovenian law (ZVPot-1).

Please read this policy alongside our Terms of Service. In the event of any inconsistency, the Terms of Service take precedence.

2. Subscription Plans

Porokca.si offers the following paid plans:

  • Par — available monthly or annually.
  • Sanjska poroka (Dream Wedding) — available monthly or annually.

The Free plan involves no payment and is not covered by this Refund Policy.

3. Right of Withdrawal (EU) — 14 Days

As a consumer within the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription contract without giving any reason within 14 days of the date on which the subscription commenced, under Art. 9 of Directive 2011/83/EU.

The right of withdrawal does not apply if you have made substantial use of paid features within that 14-day period (e.g. created a wedding page, uploaded guest photos, generated PDF invitations), as the digital service is then considered fully performed at your explicit request, in accordance with Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, send a clear statement to [EMAIL] with the subject line "Withdrawal from contract", including the date of subscription. We will refund the amount paid within 14 days of receiving your statement, using the same payment method.

4. Annual Plan — Pro-Rated Refund

In addition to the 14-day right of withdrawal, we offer a pro-rated refund for annual subscriptions cancelled within 30 days of the billing date:

  • Refund amount: A pro-rated amount for unused complete months (e.g. cancellation after 2 months = refund for 10 months).
  • Condition: The cancellation request must be submitted within 30 days of the annual billing date.
  • Process: Send your request to [EMAIL]. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.

After 30 days from the annual billing date, refunds are no longer available. Access remains active until the end of the paid annual period.

5. Monthly Plans

For monthly subscriptions, apart from the 14-day right of withdrawal in section 3, we do not offer partial refunds. Upon cancellation:

  • access remains active until the end of the current paid month,
  • you will not be charged for the following month,
  • your Content is retained for 30 days after subscription expiry, then permanently deleted.

6. Free Plan

The Free plan involves no payment, so this Refund Policy does not apply. The Free plan does not automatically convert to a paid plan; any upgrade requires an explicit action and payment.

7. Plan Downgrade

Downgrading from a higher to a lower plan (e.g. from Sanjska poroka to Par) does not entitle you to a refund. Access to higher-plan features remains active until the end of the paid period, after which functionality is adjusted accordingly.

We recommend downloading or saving any Content that may not be accessible under the lower plan before downgrading.

8. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Send an email to [EMAIL] with the subject line "Refund Request".
  • Step 2: Include your account email address, the subscription date, and the reason for your request.
  • Step 3: Our team will review your request within 5 business days.
  • Step 4: Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days to the original payment method.

Refunds are processed via Stripe to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, it may take 3–10 banking business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

9. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are not available in the following circumstances:

  • The subscription has expired (request submitted after the period has ended).
  • The account was terminated due to a breach of the Terms of Service.
  • A request for an annual plan refund is submitted more than 30 days after the billing date (except for the 14-day right of withdrawal).
  • Free plan — no payment, no refund.

10. Complaints Procedure

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your refund request, please submit a written complaint to [EMAIL] with the subject line "Complaint – Refund". We are committed to reviewing complaints within 15 business days.
